Little Poem Written On The Long Walk From The Bathroom To History Class
This morning the sparrows on the line between
This block and that block of school
Were so close that had I tried I could catch them in my fist
And feel their heartbeats twitch.
But I only watched them
Flutter then jump away from me
As if they knew my thoughts.
As I walked my long walk back to class
I typed god a message for them
Thank you for letting me into your world
If only for a moment.
The message stays in the outbox of my soul.
It has reached all the sparrows that flutter there.
