Drinker's Prayer

 What is more holy than a sinner's prayer.?

That even in God's forty day period of radio-silence

You picked up the phone and dialled his number,

Holding on as the phone beeped and bled.

                            As if to say:

                                                I knew you would not open the door

                                                But I came

                                                And I knocked 

                                                And knocked 

                                                And knocked.
